How to add a column
Click Tools on the Main Menu; then select Table Properties from the Drop Down Menu. The Table Properties window will appear. To the right of the word Columns, click on the button Add Column.
How to calculate the sum of values on one of the columns
Click Tools on the Main Menu; then select Table Properties. The Table Properties window will appear. Click on the category Calculations. There you will find various calculations on each of the columns.
How to change the properties of a column
Click Tools on the Main Menu; then select Table Properties from the Drop Down Menu. The Table Properties window will appear. Under the word Columns double click on the name of the desired column you wish to edit, or simply click once on the name of the column, and then click on the Edit button. A Window called Column, will appear, wherein you can change the properties of the column.
How to show pictures in cell fields of the table
Click Tools on the Main Menu; then select Table Properties from the Drop Down Menu. The Table Properties window will appear. Create a field to add, or edit your existing column name(s) in which you plan to add your pictures. Under the word Columns, double click on the name of the desired column you wish to edit, or simply click once on the name of the column, and then click on the Edit button. A Window called Column will appear. Click on Picture under the word Type on the left, and then click on File Open Dialog. Finally, click the OK button to save. Open up desired card record from the table, to add your picture to. Locate the field that will contain your picture. Click on button to right of cell field; then select your picture from the standard file open dialog.
How to make a word wrap in cells
Establish the column property Type equal Word wrapped text. It is recommended to also establish the column property Card editor equal Multiline text.
How to remove a lot of records from the table
Place those records which need to be removed into the Chosen list. It can be done by one of the following ways: choose records to be deleted, and press the key, Ins; or initiate one kind of search to find all records to delete, then choose the command, Record – Search Results - Choose All. When the Chosen list contains all records which need to be removed, select the command, Record - Chosen - Delete All.
How to find in one column all numerical values, for example: from "1" up to "5"
Choose Record - Advanced search. There will be a window on the master of the advanced search. On page Initial data, initiate the search on values, and press, Next. Specify in two fields marked Column (in which it is necessary to look for the numbers). In one of the fields marked, Condition, choose a line >= number/date/time, and in a corresponding floor Value, enter "1". Similarly, in the second floor, marked Condition, choose <= number/date/time, and enter "5". Follow the further steps on the master.
How to insert "break of lines" in fields
Since version 3.20, the program supports line breaks in texts of each field. Use a key, Ctrl+Enter, to break a line (in card window). The column property Card editor should be equal to Multiline text.
Why macro is necessary in the program
For example, you fill daily the table "Orders", in which there is a column entitled, "Order addition date". It is possible to set at once the macro for the column, and date will be filled automatically every time when you add new record. It will accelerate your work. See macro
